About Us
On April 27, 2024, the Southern Region of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. chartered the Fayette County Alumnae Chapter (FCAC) with 121 Charter Members. The private chartering ceremony was held at the Hilton Atlanta Peachtree City Hotel and Conference Center and was followed by a community celebration luncheon which was attended by several Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. National and Regional Leadership as well as local civic leaders including Georgia State Senator Ms. Valencia Seay, Georgia State Representatives Ms. Debra Bazemore and Mr. Derrick Jackson, and the Mayor of Fayetteville, Mr. Edward Johnson. The keynote speaker for the luncheon was Ms. Rhonda Briggins, President of D4 Women in Action who delivered a dynamic speech to encourage the attendees to continue to make a positive difference in the Fayette County community.
The Fayette County Alumnae Chapter leadership includes Dr. Cheryl L. Brown, President, Mrs. Fran L. Webb, First Vice President, Mrs. Keisha R. Johnson, Second Vice President, Mrs. Markgetta Jackson Langford, Recording Secretary, Mrs. Deborah Carson, Corresponding Secretary, Mrs. Shirley Boulware, Treasurer and Mrs. Cynthia Hardy, Financial Secretary.
The chapter’s objective is to impact Fayette County through keeping the mission of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. as a public service organization that confronts the challenges all Americans with an emphasis on the African American community. In realizing this mission, the Fayette County Alumnae Chapter will provide public service initiatives through the Sorority’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust of:
